The “Dil Se..” Movie came out in the year 1998. It literally means “From the heart..”

In this article we will analyse and praise the music compositions that the Oscars winning music composer A R Rahman.

The one unique thing you will notice in all A R Rahman songs is that he makes his songs unique. 🙂 His songs will not be similar to other songs. The music will be top notch, awesome, and excellent.

While most of his movie songs are actually remake of his own South Indian versions of Mani Ratnam Movies. Dil se movie was mainly in Hindi language and then dubbed in Tamil, Telagu and Malayalam language.

I still remember in 90s we had an original cassette of Dil se movie and a CDs with a rich looking packaging and cover for the CDs.

These songs are very rich in music and melodious. It takes a very good talent in music to produce and compose such masterpieces.

This has a very good slow start with a dafli (hand percussion instrument) with a female singing “pakhi pakhi pardesi”.

The ending beats set and energise the song a little. I like the way it is used right before Udit Narayan starts singing.
